The Sheraton Quito hotel offered the perfect base for exploring this wonderful city.

What a great location, just in the heart of the modern part of town, close to the main shopping areas and not far from the colonial downtown area. It was also convenient for us because it is close to the Quito airport (10 min.) and we had several domestic flights in and out of Quito, we used the city as our base to explore the Amazon and the Galapagos Islands (which by the way were wonderful).

The service was good as you would expect in any Sheraton, very clean and up to standards. The concierge was great in suggesting nearby restaurants and getting us tickets to a local soccer game (the stadium is only a block away). The only complaint I have is that the hotel has no local flair, yet this was offset completely by the location and helpful staff. 

The rooms were nice and spacious,the hotel looks new and is in good maintainance. I would stay here again and recommend it to my friends.
